Very few Ohio State football players have accomplished even half of what Archie Griffin was able to accomplish in college. Griffin has almost every single honor you can think a college athlete could get. He’s still the only two-time Heisman Trophy winner in college football history and is considered one of the greatest college football players of all time.

Despite all he’s accomplished, there’s one thing Griffin hasn’t been able to get. It’s something that very few non-band members have ever had in the history of Ohio State. That’s dotting the i in Script Ohio. People such as Bob Hope, Woody Hayes, Jack Nicklaus, and Earle Bruce have had the honor of doing so. Griffin will now get the same honor this season.

Ohio State announced that Griffin will dot the i in the opening game against the Akron Zips. He will do it during the halftime show as opposed to prior to the opening kickoff. It’s the final honor that Ohio State can give the greatest football player to ever suit up for the Scarlet and Gray. It’s a great moment for him.

Griffin has scored a touchdown during the Spring Game. He’s a college football Hall of Famer and is one of the greatest college football players of all time. He is going to cherish this honor just as highly as the ones he got during his playing career. Griffin knows exactly what kind of honor this is to the Ohio State community.

This is something that Griffin deserves. He gives so much back to the university, even today. He’s a great ambassador for Ohio State and loves the university. This is the final thing that Ohio State can give him that he hasn’t already collected for himself.
