With the Super Bowl finished, the NFL calendar moves toward the Draft. The Combine is first up though, and a number of Ohio State football players got the invite to Indy to help improve their Draft stock. In fact, the Buckeyes will have eight representatives at Lucas Oil Stadium performing in front of NFL scouts and GMs.

Ohio State normally has more than that for the Combine, but so many players decided to come back to the Buckeyes instead. They wanted to compete for a national title and to beat Michigan. The eight players who are at the Combine either are out of eligibility or are sure-fire high picks in April’s Draft.

These are the Ohio State football players in the Combine

Marvin Harrison Jr. is the headliner at the Combine. He is at minimum a top-five overall pick in this Draft and should be the first non-quarterback off the board. He’s a physical freak and is going to be a franchise receiver for the next decade for some lucky team at the top of the Draft.

Matt Jones also got an invite. He might be participating as a center considering that’s where he played in the Cotton Bowl. Cade Stover will be there too. He’s got a shot to sneak into the late second round if he tests well. Mike Hall does too if he shows off the athleticism that he did at the Senior Bowl. He was voted as the top defensive lineman by offensive linemen at the Senior Bowl.

Miyan Williams got a Combine invite too. He is fully healthy now and should be ready to do on-field drills. His departure from Ohio State was somewhat surprising considering he’s not considered a top-draft pick. He’s hoping the Combine can get him solidly into the Draft as a guy taken on Day 3.

Tommy Eichenberg, the former Big Ten Linebacker of the Year winner, will be there too. It’s important for him to test well there because his athleticism is a major concern among scouts. Josh Proctor is the final Ohio State football player with an invite and he’s coming off his best college season.

We’ll see how well these guys are able to perform in Indy. Buckeyes normally test very well, so a few of them should see their Draft stock get a bump following the Combine. The NFL Combine is from February 26th through March 4th.
