Former Ohio State football player Marvin Harrison Jr. has had an interesting start to his NFL career. He was the fourth overall pick in the NFL Draft this past April. Since then, he’s been a bit of a distraction. He still hasn’t signed paperwork with Fanatics to allow fans to buy his jersey or for him to be in the Madden video game.

Now he’s being sued by Fanatics for that reason. They allege he has breached a contract that he signed while he was with the Buckeyes. He hasn’t played an NFL game yet and he’s already being sued. That’s not exactly the way that you want to start things off as a professional. As of today, he’s officially a part of the Cardinals organization.

Former Ohio State football player Marvin Harrison Jr. has signed his rookie deal

Arizona has officially signed Harrison Jr. to his rookie deal. He signed a four-year deal with that fifth-year option. It’s full-guaranteed and it’s worth $35.37 million with a $22.5 million signing bonus. It’s a pretty nice rookie deal, but it’s pretty standard for the slot that he was drafted in. He’s now a member of the Cardinals and will participate in all events.

It’s a good thing that he’s officially signed. That’s one big thing of business off his plate. Now, he has to deal with the lawsuit, which is another large thing that he has to deal with. Once that is taken care of, then he can fully focus on just football. That’s what he was focused on right before the Combine. That’s part of the reason why he wasn’t there working out.

Harrison Jr. will now be one of the best players on the Cardinals from the jump. He’s probably going to be their best offensive weapon. I’m sure the organization wished he wasn’t dealing with anything out of the ordinary, but he is.
