It seems like Justin Fields could be on the move

Based on social media activity, it seems like Justin Fields could be playing next year somewhere other than Chicago.

Former Ohio State football player Justin Fields was the 11th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. He is perhaps the most polarizing quarterback in the NFL right now. He’ll show flashes of brilliance on one play and then make a stupid decision on the next one. His inconsistency is one of the reasons why the Bears are considering moving on from him in the offseason.

The Bears have the number-one pick in the Draft in April. Many believe they will end up taking either Caleb Williams or Drake Maye, both quarterbacks. That would leave Fields as the odd man out. While no firm decisions have been made, the actions of Fields on his social media accounts may indicate which way Chicago is leaning.

Justin Fields has unfollowed the Bears on social media

There is no mention of the Bears on Fields’ Instagram account. He has unfollowed them. In today’s day and age of social media, that is significant. Players tend to unfollow people or organizations if something bad is about to happen. It seems that’s how players get their point across instead of speaking to the media about it.

It seems like Fields could be on the move this offseason. We gave you some possible destinations for him, so we’ll see where he ultimately ends up. I do think Fields will be on the move in the coming months. While he didn’t get the support he deserved in Chicago with the personnel surrounding him, he’s due for a fresh start somewhere else.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Bears decided to hold onto Fields until the start of the Draft to drum up his price. There will be multiple teams looking to trade for him, so they can keep him for a while to leverage the best possible trade. He did some great things in Chicago so I think he’s still a good quarterback.

Fields did great things for the Buckeyes. He’s also a genuinely good dude. I hope he finds success wherever he lands.
