Former Ohio State football player Marvin Harrison Jr. came in tonight as the top Buckeye on NFL Draft boards. He is one of the best receivers in the Draft. For my money, he’s the best receiver in the entire Draft. His hands are better than anyone else and he has the size that makes it impossible for defenders to defend him in jump ball situations.

Harrison Jr. had a couple of extremely impressive seasons with the Buckeyes, including one with bad quarterback play. Despite playing last season with a quarterback who is no longer with the Ohio State football program, Harrison Jr. still put up 1,200+ yards and 14 touchdowns just as he did in 2022 with C.J. Stroud.

We knew that Harrison Jr. was going to be the first Buckeye taken on Thursday night. We didn’t know which team was going to take him. Now, we know who that team is. The Cardinals decided to take him and not trade out of the pick. This is a good pick because they need wide receiver help desperately.

Harrison Jr. will immediately become the best weapon for that team. The Buckeyes showed in 2023 that even when you know the ball is going to him, you still can’t hold him down for an entire game. I expect the same thing to happen at the next level. His skills are too good for a team to stop him for an entire 60-minute game.

Marvin Harrison Jr. is going to be a great receiver for the next decade. I can’t wait to revisit this Draft five years from now to compare him to the other receivers. I truly believe he’s going to be the best. Several other draft analysts agree with me. He’s just too good to pass up. The Cardinals decided not to.
