The Ohio State football program has had a lot of noon games this season. FOX has wanted to capitalize on the very large following that the Buckeyes have in order to prop up their viewership. It makes sense that they would want to have the Ohio State Buckeyes play in that window of the Big Noon Kickoff as much as possible.

Ohio State will end up playing its final five games of the season at noon. Only this week’s game will be on the Big Ten Network. The rest of the games will be featured on FOX. That means Ohio State won’t get a late-night game, which is something the Big Ten has always tried to avoid. Yet, fans are up in arms with the fact that the Buckeyes have had to play so many noon games.

Ohio State football fans shouldn’t worry about noon kickoffs

The Buckeyes clearly haven’t had any issues with the games being played this early. They have won all of the games that have been at noon. In fact, the only game they’ve lost so far this season is a game that was a 7:30 pm kickoff. Of course, that was because they had to take on Oregon in Autzen Stadium in what was a cross-country trip.

Fans who are freaking out about this issue need to stop. It doesn’t affect recruiting as much as some people think it does. Families are easily able to get to Columbus in this day and age of high-level college football. Fans also need to get used to it because this isn’t going to change any time soon. Noon is FOX’s premiere window. Ohio State is going to be on at noon a lot.

If the Buckeyes win the rest of the games on their schedule, they won’t be playing any other games at noon. The Big Ten Championship game won’t be at that time, nor will any of the College Football Playoff games. Fans should be more worried about the teams winning the games instead of what time they are played.
