As of right now, the Ohio State football program has the second-best recruiting class in the country. They also have the most five-star recruits in their 2025 class. They are looking to add more as well. One specific player who has recently narrowed down his school choices isn’t a five-star but is very close.
That player is running back Bo Jackson. He’s from Cleveland, Ohio, and is a four-star recruit. He is currently projected to sign with the Buckeyes but hasn’t done so yet. Ohio State has to hold off two other top programs to get him to sign first. He recently gave a top three of Ohio State, Alabama, and Georgia.
Ohio State football program is in the top three for an elite recruit
It’s a little scary when you have to hold off two of the premier programs in college football to a top recruit. While Ohio State is favored to land him, Jackson is visiting Alabama in June. The good news is that they have a visit scheduled with Jackson at the end of this month, so hopefully they can seal up a commitment after that.
It’s also worth noting who Jackson left off his final three list. He didn’t include Michigan, despite Tony Alford recruiting him while he was still with Ohio State. Alford is now at Michigan and has not done a good job so far. He’s already lost a recruiting battle to Kentucky for a different running back and has now struck out on Jackson.
I expect Jackson to commit soon after either the Ohio State visit or the Alabama visit. We’ll have to see which program he picks. I would say they both have the edge over Georgia right now. We’ll see what Jackson decides because he’s a really good football player. The Buckeyes would love to have him in their room.
Jackson is from Cleveland so that is one of the reasons why the Buckeyes have the edge.
