The Ohio State football team has to face Oregon on the road this season. It just got harder for them because now it’s a night game.

The Ohio State football program doesn’t have the easiest schedule in the country. They have to face four ranked teams this season. Oregon, Penn State, Michigan, and Iowa are all on the schedule. Two of those games are on the road while two of them are at home. The Buckeyes still have a great chance to win all of those games though.

One of those games just became a lot harder. While the Penn State game won’t be a night game, the Oregon game will be. FOX analyst Joel Klatt has confirmed that the Ducks will host a night game against the Ohio State Buckeyes when the game is played on October 12th. That game will be broadcast on NBC as well.

While this is great for college football fans at large, it’s not such a great thing for the Buckeyes. Playing a night game on the road against the third-ranked team in the country is not going to be easy. Autzen Stadium is also known as one of the loudest stadiums in the country, so the noise is going to be a factor. It will be the most hostile environment the Buckeyes play in this season.

With how good Ohio State’s defense is, they should still have a great chance to slow down the Ducks on offense. The question is going to be how well the Buckeyes can move the ball themselves. They will have five games to prepare for this game, so the offense should be in rhythm by the time this matchup is had.

The Ohio State Buckeyes are the second-ranked team in the country for a reason. If they win this game, they have a great chance to be the number-one-ranked team in the nation. That’s a long time from now though. The Buckeyes are just focused on winning the games in front of them first.
