The Ohio State football program should be an improved offense from last year. They weren’t bad last season, but they weren’t elite like they had been in the last few years. That should change now that they have Will Howard at quarterback. Howard can move more than Kyle McCord can, so the read option is now a weapon they can use.

Despite losing Marvin Harrison Jr., the wide receiver room is still in a good place. The Buckeyes added Quinshon Judkins as a backup running back. They also added Seth McLaughlin on the offensive line. In general, they have more talent. It seems like EA Sports agrees based on Ohio State’s offensive ranking in College Football 25.

Ohio State football has the fifth-best offense in College Football 25

The Buckeyes are rated as the fifth-best offense in the new college football video game. They have an overall rating of 89 as an offense. Only Georgia, Oregon, Alabama, and Texas are ranked ahead of them. Looking at the talent that the Buckeyes have, fifth seems like a fair rating. They still have some questions on the offensive line that need to be addressed.

Ohio State has a lot of talent on offense, but so do those other teams. I think it’s a fair rating in the game before the season starts. Once the season starts and rosters are updated, their ranking could go up. I’m not sure anyone is worried about that because Dynasty mode is the mode that everyone is going to play with this game, including myself.

This video game is highly-anticipated and I know of plenty of Ohio State football fans who have already pre-ordered the game. We’ll find out on Friday where the Ohio State football team is ranked in the polls in the game. The preseason polls will come out for the real season in about a month as well.
