The Ohio State football program has had plenty of alternate jerseys over the years. A lot of programs have alternate uniforms that they wear over the course of a season. Most of the time, it’s for recruiting purposes. Recruits love different uniforms that look cool. That’s also the case for the Buckeyes as well.

Last season, the Buckeyes wore all-gray uniforms for their game at home against Michigan State. I think the uniforms look cool and are actually the best alternate uniforms that they have come up with so far. I like them far better than the all-black ones they had a few years back. They’re even better than the all-scarlet ones. Well, the all-gray ones are back.

Ohio State football team to wear all-gray uniforms against Iowa.

The Buckeyes will break out the all-gray uniforms again. They announced that they will wear the uniforms against Iowa this season. The home game against the Hawkeyes is on October 5th. It will be cool to see the uniforms back in action. You have to wonder if this means that that game will be a night game as well.

Ohio State only knows the times of three games so far this season. We knew the Michigan game was going to be a noon kick so that one doesn’t really count. Whenever the Ohio State football team breaks out the alternate uniforms, that usually means it’s going to be a night game. Keep that in mind as game times are released later this year.

I like that they are wearing them against a team like Iowa. Iowa is a good team, but not a great team. It’s not a team that they should lose to, but it’s still going to be a fairly competitive game. I’d actually be very sure[raised if this game is not an evening kickoff in the Shoe.
