The Ohio State football team could land top three CBs in 2025

The Ohio State football program could end up with one of the greatest hauls at a single position of all-time for the 2025 recruiting class.

The Ohio State football team is trying its best to get back to BIA. Best In America is what the Buckeyes had in the secondary up until the 2020 season. From 2020-2022, the secondary was susceptible to giving up big plays in the biggest games. That cost the Buckeyes dearly when they were trying to beat Michigan and Georgia during that timespan.

Tim Walton is doing his absolute best to make sure that doesn’t happen again. Walton was hired a couple of years ago and has helped Denzel Burke and Jordan Hancock develop into really good corners. Davison Igbinosun also played well last year for the Buckeyes. Now, Walton is recruiting the best corners in the country successfully.

The Ohio State football program could land the three best corners in 2025

Right now, the Buckeyes are projected to land the top three cornerbacks in the country, including two five-star kids. All of these 2025 corners are currently ranked in the top 16 according to 247Sports. Ohio State already has a commitment from the top corner of the class in Devin Sanchez. He’s the fourth-best player in the entire country.

Ohio State now is also projected to land Na’eem Offord, another five-star corner who is the sixth-best player in the country. He landed that crystal ball projection ahead of a scheduled visit to Columbus, which is always a good sign. The Ohio State Buckeyes are also expected to grab Dorian Brew, a corner who is the 16th-best player in the country.

If Walton can land all of those recruits in a single class, the Buckeyes are going to be really hard to throw against for the next four years. The secondary already allowed the fewest passing yards in the country last season and they’ve only gotten better with the addition of Caleb Downs. Getting three elite corners would mean the future is bright too.

2025 is still a long way away. Other teams will try to use NIL money to swoop in on these recruits. Let’s hope these projections hold true and Ohio State can hold onto all of these guys.
