The NFL Draft is later this week and several Ohio State football players will be drafted. How high they will be drafted remains to be seen. This is one of the few years in recent memory in which the Buckeyes have just one sure-fire first-round pick. That’s mostly because of how many guys decided to return for the 2024 season.

Ohio State will only have one first-round pick on Thursday night. That is Marvin Harrison Jr. The wide receiver was one of the best players in all of college football last season and that was with subpar quarterback play. Had he gotten better throws, he could have been even more productive than he ended up being.

Harrison Jr. is going to be great in the NFL too. That’s why he has become the first football athlete to sign with New Balance. He will be the one to debut their football cleats. It’s impressive to become the first athlete in the football space to sign with a brand. He is now the face of a brand that has some stars in both basketball and baseball.

Of course, this is all ancillary stuff for Harrison Jr. He’s focused more on the football stuff. He’s worried about where he might get drafted. We’ll see if a team makes a move up to come and get him or if he gets drafted by the Cardinals. Thursday night will be interesting to see where he will start out his pro football career.

Harrison Jr. will now become the number-one receiver for some lucky NFL team. We’ll have an article later in the week about which team that could end up being. No matter who takes him, Harrison Jr. is too good to fail. He’s going to be a great NFL player.
