The Ohio State football program is having another camp this week. On Tuesday, plenty of recruits came to the camp to get feedback from coaches and to showcase their talent as well. No doubt that a lot of those prospects will be hoping for a scholarship offer from either Ohio State or another program that has representatives there.

One of the recruits who was at camp on Tuesday was Tavien St. Clair. St. Clair is the crowned jewel of the Buckeyes’ 2025 recruiting class. He is the top recruit in their class and is a five-star recruit. In fact, he’s the second-best recruit in the country. He showed what he can do with his workout in that camp.

St. Clair showed off both his arm strength and his accuracy while he was working out in front of coaches. Ohio State always saw what he was capable of, offering the Bellefontaine quarterback a scholarship back when he was just a three-star prospect. Other schools are just now seeing why he’s such a highly-touted prospect.

The Buckeyes are going to have a big-time quarterback competition next season when St. Clair gets on campus. A battle between St. Clair, Devin Brown, Julian Sayin, and Air Noland is going to be a bloodbath. All of them are really good quarterbacks with very high ceilings. I left Lincoln Kienholz off that list because I expect him to transfer.

Ohio State has some decisions to make at quarterback in the next couple of years. Will Howard is the likely starter this season, but next season is still unsettled. Based on St. Clair’s workout today, he could make it hard for coaches not to start him right away.
