The Ohio State football program usually has a five-star receiver for every recruiting class. It seems that Brian Hartline can do no wrong when it comes to recruiting receivers. Right now, the Buckeyes have a single four-star receiver for the 2025 recruiting class. That doesn’t mean that they don’t have any chance to bring in a five-star receiver.
In fact, it’s exactly the opposite. The Buckeyes still have plenty of time to snag one. A five-star recruit recently talked about the fact that three five-star receivers actually have Ohio State in their top three schools. Dakorien Moore, who we talked about Ohio State flipping, was the recruit who said that to start.
Ohio State football team has three top receivers who are considering them
Other than Moore, two other receivers apparently have Ohio State as finalists. Jamie Ffrench, who has been linked to the Buckeyes for a while now, is one of them. Ffrench is a great five-star recruit and is listed as the third-best receiver in the country. Adding him to the roster would be very nice for Ohio State.
The other receiver who was mentioned is Kaliq Lockett. Lockett is someone who hasn’t been linked to the Buckeyes very much. He hasn’t yet taken a visit to Columbus. Both Moore and Ffrench have already been on campus and have a much better chance of choosing Ohio State in the end. That doesn’t mean Lockett can’t though.
There’s no chance that all three receivers pick the Buckeyes, but two out of the three can. The Buckeyes brought in two five-star receivers for the 2024 class who will be freshmen this year. They can do the same thing this year. It’s certainly a luxury for Ohio State to have such a good recruiter in Hartline to coach the wide receivers where that’s even possible.
