The Ohio State basketball team should look at this transfer

The Ohio State basketball team is looking for three-point shooting in the transfer portal. This guard would certainly help them with that.

The Ohio State basketball team is still sniffing around the transfer portal for some players who can help them next season. They have lost four guys to the portal and have brought two guys in. There is still room on the roster for some guys to be brought in. One guard has the Buckeyes on his final school’s list already.

There’s another guard that the Buckeyes should take a look at for some of the issues that they need to address next season. With Jamison Battle gone, they lost three-point shooting. They were already a team that didn’t make a ton of threes. Adding someone who can do that in the starting lineup or off the bench.

The Ohio State basketball team should target Dayton guard

Koby Brea has one year of eligibility left after playing at Dayton. He entered the portal after averaging 11.1 points per game last season on 51% shooting and a whopping 49.8% shooting from three. If the Buckeyes need three-point shooting and scoring off the bench, Brea is the guy they should target.

Brea is a big guard at 6’6, so he has a lot of defensive versatility as well. He’d be a perfect fit for the Buckeyes and Jake Diebler next year. Brea also wouldn’t have to travel that far to switch schools. Dayton is just an hour and 15 minutes away from Columbus. His friends could still come to see him play. He’s originally from New York, so his family would be slightly closer too.

The Ohio State basketball team hasn’t had a true three-point sniper in a while. As good as Battle was at times, he was inconsistent from a scoring standpoint. His three-point shooting would come and go. Brea showed over the course of an entire season that he can shoot and make big shots throughout the course of a game.

Ohio State has not set up a visit with Brea yet but that doesn’t mean it can’t still happen.
