Recruiting has always been a priority for the Ohio State football program. They typically do well in that realm too. The Buckeyes had a top-five recruiting class for 2024 and are looking to improve on that ranking for the 2025 class. So far, they’re off to a great start. That’s especially true in the secondary.
Ohio State has some of the best players in the secondary committed to them already. If you look at their class, they have three five-star commits already for the class. That’s the best in the country. In fact, the class as a whole is the best in the entire country. They have the top-ranked class and it’s not particularly close at the moment.
The Ohio State football team has the best 2025 recruiting class
The class is led by cornerback Devin Sanchez, who is the top corner in the country. He’s the number-three player overall in the class and is one of those three five-star recruits. Tavien St. Clair, the quarterback for the Buckeyes in this class, is also a five-star prospect and will be fighting for the starting job in 2025.
This class is only going to get better too. They still have some receiver commits that are likely to happen in the next few weeks. The summer will also see a flurry of commitments happen once camp season starts. NIL is certainly helping the Buckeyes have such a good class so far. Ross Bjork hasn’t been playing around with his commitment to that.
Of course, Gene Smith mentioned on Thursday how much money he’s spent on the roster. It seems that everyone is committed to doing the most that they can to make this team succeed this season and beyond. The Buckeyes are set for a great 2024 season and Ryan Day is making sure his team is set beyond that as well.
The class of 2025 could end up being one of the best recruiting classes of all time.
