The Ohio State football program has a recruiting class right now that would be the best in school history. It’s the best in the country right now thanks to how well they’ve done on defense. That doesn’t mean that they’ve done poorly on offense, but they just don’t have the top-level talent on that side of the ball yet in this class.
Ohio State has landed another player on the offensive side of the ball thanks to Brian Hartline. Hartline has grabbed a few receivers this class, but no truly elite guys yet. That’s still okay because the players he’s landed are still really good. That includes the player who committed on Friday.
Ohio State football program gets in-state receiver
The Buckeyes were able to land Bodpegn Miller. Miller is a three-star recruit from Mansfield, Ohio. Miller is 6’4 and 180 pounds, so he’s a bit thin. Putting some weight and muscle on won’t be a big problem for Miller though. Once he gets to Columbus, that will be the least of his worries. He’s still a good prospect though.
Keeping good players in the state of Ohio has become more of a priority for the Buckeyes recently. It’s always good to keep the best players at home. While the Ohio State football program has a national reach, it makes sense for them to still get those kids in Ohio who have always dreamed about playing for the Buckeyes.
Miller is someone who has a lot of raw talent. He won’t play right away and might even have to sit for a couple of years. Still, they have the coaching needed to make Miller the best possible prospect that he can be. He’s going to be surrounded by some of the best collection of offensive coaches in the country.
Ohio State is not done adding prospects either. This weekend is going to be a big weekend for them on the recruiting trail. They have 12 prospects in town this weekend.
