The Ohio State football team will get to play in a historic baseball stadium when they head to Illinois to take on Northwestern.

The Ohio State football team has played in a lot of cool venues over the years. They play in one of the most iconic venues in all of sports themselves. They’ve also played in places such as the Rose Bowl, the Big House, AT&T Stadium, and many others. There are also some other places that would be cool to host a Buckeye game.

You can add another iconic venue to the list that the Buckeyes will play a game in. Ohio State is slated to take on Northwestern on November 16th, but they don’t have a stadium to play in. Ryan Field is being demolished while their new stadium is being built. That means their home games will be played at different venues around Evanston.

The Ohio State football team will play Northwestern at Wrigley Field

Because of that odd situation, the Ohio State Buckeyes will take on the Wildcats at Wrigley Field on, home of the Chicago Cubs. The game is in the middle of November, so obviously the Cubs wouldn’t need to use it even if they made the World Series. That’s a pretty cool setting to play an Ohio State football game.

The last time these two programs met was in 2022 in Evanston. The wind was so bad that Ohio State couldn’t throw the ball. It was the first time we got to see C.J. Stroud start to run the ball. There’s a chance the weather is that bad again, but we won’t know that until the game is about to be played. Regardless, Ohio State is the more talented team and should win the game.

If you can make it to this game, I’d highly suggest going. Wrigley Field is a cool place and this would certainly be a unique way to take in a Buckeye game. It’s a place you may never get to see Ohio State play ever again. I think it’s cool that the Cubs and Northwestern were able to come to an agreement to make this happen.

This isn’t the first time the Wildcats have played at Wrigley Field so they’ll know all the bounces. I still doubt that results in an upset.
